Kelsey Fithen

LMHC Candidate

I work with men who have served in high-pressure roles and are ready to define who they are beyond them.

You don’t have to keep operating in survival mode to be strong.

Progress Forward

You’ve handled intensity. You’ve operated in environments most people don’t understand. You learned how to stay sharp, stay controlled, and stay mission-focused.

But that same armor can follow you home. You might feel like you’re always “on” or struggle to relax or connect with the people you care about.

My work focuses on helping you process what you’ve carried and rebuild a sense of identity that isn’t limited to the uniform, the badge, or the past. This isn’t about erasing your strength. It’s about building on it.

As a veteran with forensic mental health training, I understand both the culture of high-stakes service and the psychological impact it leaves behind. I know the pride, loyalty, and discipline that come with those roles. I also understand how difficult it can be to step out of them.

I create a space that is grounded and relatable, while maintaining strong clinical structure. You won’t get clichés or clinical jargon. You’ll get direct conversation and real work.

My approach is structured, strategic, and evidence-based. I draw from CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, and Expressive Arts to help you:

  • Process trauma and reduce hypervigilance

  • Address anxiety, depression, and chronic stress

  • Separate your identity from your role

  • Rebuild emotional range without losing control

  • Align your life with your values and ethics

We externalize the problem so you stop seeing yourself as broken and start recognizing your capacity to rebuild.

This is active work. You stay in control of the process. My role is to guide, challenge, and structure the path forward.

I work best with men who:

  • Have carried responsibility in high-stakes environments

  • Value directness and clarity

  • Are ready to do real work

  • Want to build a future that isn’t defined by their past

If you’re looking for passive therapy, this may not be the right fit.

If you’re ready to move forward with intention, we can do strong work together.
